The Community Improvement Coalition (CIC) is a non-profit group made up of concerned local citizens and community leaders. The group strives to enhance the quality of life of Hickory County residents. Recent projects include launching this county Web site. The CIC is currently exploring ways to offer more physical activity opportunities for the community and has partnered with the schools, the US Army Corp. of Engineers, and the Health Department to build walking trails and to increase physical activity.  The CIC has received funding to help reduce risky behaviors in youth, specifically to reduce underage and binge drinking in youth from ages 12-25 years.

If you are interested in aiding in community development and would like to attend a CIC meeting, please call for the next meeting date, time and location.
